Thanks Andrew I was on my way to shoot a kite festival at Maumee Bay State Park on Lake Erie. I came across this and new I had to shoot this first. I wanted to go back and shoot again just before sunrise but the whole area seemed too dangerous to do that and less I had a patrol car standing by. I think all that in one stack has been taken down now in the course of the reclamation project in the area. I did make it to the kite festival on the shore of Lake Erie, what a dramatic change in scenery in a few miles.

This is an abandoned factory on the south side of the Maumee River in Toledo Ohio. It makes me think about the workers and families that were once there, and even more so about the riverside that was lost to our short sighted sense of progress.
