Description
The Lion The Witch and the Wardrobe by CS Lewis is one of my favorite books. Here is an interpretation of Aslan and the Stone Table. From Wikipedia...C.S. Lewis often incorporates Christian themes and symbols into the Narnian stories. The Stone Table itself (and not the hill) is one of these symbols: it is symbolic of the cross of Jesus, and the killing of Aslan on it for the sin (treachery) of Edmund Pevensie, alludes to the crucifixion of Christ.

Thanks for the comments! Do you like C.S. Lewis? The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe is the story that is the basis for this image. Although I wonder if we are seeing elements from The Last Battle these last few months...

Thanks Nora! The stone itself is in a State park along the Maumee River here in NW Ohio. I shot it a coupe yeas ago. I would like to do several images related to the Chronicles of Narnia and other stories written by Lewis.
